If you've read my The Cost of Beauty blog post, then you will know that the average woman spends around £133,575 over a lifetime on her face, hair and body. I did a Google search and that's more than enough to buy a three bedroom house in a nice location. So what does this have to do with today's post? Well as I'm sure you've realised by now, I like makeup and shopping.
As a blogger and someone who enjoys reading beauty blogs, watching makeup related Youtube videos and generally keeping up with what's new in the beauty world, I find it's often easy to get sucked into thinking you need to buy the newest hyped beauty products. So I've set myself a challenge. The plan is to complete a 90 day spending ban.
I think a spending ban will be a great way to rediscover products I already own and get more creative. So the rules are pretty simple, no makeup, skin care or hair care items can be purchased unless there are absolutely no other alternatives for me to use. The spending ban starts today (Monday 5th August) and will last 90 days (till Sunday 3rd November). It's going to be a challenge but I think it will be interesting.
Have you ever completed a spending ban? What tips do you have?
Good luck!! :) X
