Event: Mid Summer Blogger Meet

Last week Thursday I spent the afternoon (and evening) in Manchester at my first blogger meet since moving back up North. Before heading to the Mid Summer Meet event, I met the lovely Sara and  in true blogger style we headed to Starbucks for a quick frappuccino. Which was followed by a spot of shopping in the Arndale shopping centre. (This is a photo heavy post).

Confessions of a Beauty Blogger

If you've read my The Cost of Beauty blog post, then you will know that the average woman spends around £133,575 over a lifetime on her face, hair and body. I did a Google search and that's more than enough to buy a three bedroom house in a nice location. So what does this have to do with today's post? Well as I'm sure you've realised by now, I like makeup and shopping.

This year seems to be flying by super quickly, I can't believe we are already in August! As I mentioned in a Monday Moments post a few weeks ago, sometimes it's good to take a step back and look at the bigger picture and that's exactly what I've been doing the last week or so (hence the lack of posts). Early last week, me and my brother went for a day trip to Liverpool. I decided to vlog as I haven't filmed a vlog in ages (since my festival vlog). The vlog also features a very mini Boots haul and a quick outfit of the day by the sea.

As a beauty blogger I don't do a lot of posts like this, and I've loved doing it. So thank you Feyi for inspiring me to be more open and creative with my posts!

It's an everyday occurrence where people wear makeup, I find if you're out without makeup on people look at you, maybe not in a disgusted way, but they look, you're not flawless, your skin tone isn't one shade, you're eyes aren't perfect, and yeah you may have a few blemishes, but so what? Everyone is like it in the end!
