Last week Thursday I spent the afternoon (and evening) in Manchester at my first blogger meet since moving back up North. Before heading to the Mid Summer Meet event, I met the lovely Sara and in true blogger style we headed to Starbucks for a quick frappuccino. Which was followed by a spot of shopping in the Arndale shopping centre. (This is a photo heavy post).
After getting a little lost (I think my phone map has a mind of its own) we finally found the Walrus, a restaurant and bar in the heart of Manchester's Northern Quarter, and the venue for the Mid Summer Meet hosted By Look Fantastic, All Sole and My Bag.
I spent the evening mingling, chatting to fellow bloggers and learning more about some of my favourite brands including Burts Bees (I don't leave the house without their honey lip balm), Nails Inc, Benefit and many more. Each brand had representatives who gave us a little more insight into the brand and the range of products they offer. There were also hair demonstrations from L'Oreal Professional and Evo as well as a make-up demonstration from Benefit in the form of a highlighting and contouring masterclass.
Whilst at the Benefit stand learning about their new blush, we bumped into the lovely Mikhila from MissBudgetBeauty. Starstruck doesn't even cover my reaction (but in my defence she's the first big YouTuber I've met in real life)! We even had a cheeky Instagram picture for the Benefit instagram page.
There were lots of little stands scattered around the room displaying an array of products from shoes to jewellery.
Of course no blogger event would be complete without cupcakes! These cakes looked super cute and tasted really nice too!
On our way out we were gifted with what I can only describe as my dream goody bag. I had seen a few teaser pictures on Instagram but wasn't expecting anything this amazing! I can't wait to try out and review some of these products (let me know if there are any in particular which you would like to see reviewed first).
Thank you to Look Fantastic for inviting me, I think this was one of the best blogger events I've been to. I had a great time, met some lovely people and was introduced to products that I otherwise may not have tried.
